Highfield Library

This quite imposing building is set slightly away from the road on Haweside lane heading towards Blackpool from St Annes. It is considered to be the "back road" into St Annes. This was originally a library as I knew it and I can remember excursions from Haweside school about 5 minutes walk away for my children to exchange their books. My youngest did not go to Haweside, but he went to the kindergarten their before he went to St Thomas' in St Annes. These are pictures of the recently "mothballed" library, clinic, playschool, dentist, bridge club etc. Anyhow the NHS have now got their teeth into it and it is now closed...

Anybody's guess... The lights are still on, and no one at home!
